About Us

Suraksha Association

NGO work is vital for empowering women, promoting health, supporting orphans and the elderly, providing skill development, and fostering sustainable livelihoods.

The NGO was founded in 2013 in Bellary district, Karnataka, under the Karnataka Society Registration Act 1960. It has been working in all taluks of Bellary, Vijaynagar, and Hospet. It has been focusing on women's empowerment with 1000 SHGs with about 10 members in each group.Giving health awareness to children in schools and colleges about general health. providing food to orphans and elderly in different orphanages. Conducting skill development courses for unemployed women like tailoring, computer courses, and manufacturing of paper bags. Also, legal awareness to women is being given through workshops. About 20 SHGs have been sanctioned loans through the Sangamitra scheme for income generation activities. A survey is being conducted to create a family smart card for villagers in panchayat-level villages. During COVID times, 2000 nos. of masks & sanitizers were provided to the needy. 30 food kits were distributed. Stationery was provided to 100 schoolchildren. About 10 trees were planted in Hospet School.

OUR VISION

To provide food regularly to Elderly, Coolies and orphans regularly. To provide jobs to unemployed women by training them in various skills. To build a campus with trees and plants for Elderly and orphans. To provide uniforms and stationery to more school children who are needy.

OUR MISSION

Since NGO has a land it has plans to build a Orphanage and striving to get the funds and approaching the CSR and other organisations .

Workshop for Paper Bags Making

A training program was conducted at the NGO office for 25 unemployed women, focusing on paper bag making. This initiative aimed to equip them with skills for income generation and promote sustainable livelihoods.

International Women's Day

International Women's Day was celebrated, and women were honored for their outstanding achievements in various fields. The event recognized and celebrated their contributions, empowering them to continue excelling in their respective areas.

Workshop for farmers

Awareness to farmers on Papaya growing was conducted at NGO premises. About 20 farmers attended the program.

Covid Awareness

A COVID-19 awareness program was conducted for rural women in various taluks of Bellary district, with around 100 women participating. The program aimed to educate them on preventive measures and safety practices to combat the spread of the virus.
